Each of our Biking Escape trips is a collection of our own years of bike-touring and discovering the beauty of Tuscany firsthand, so we take you on the quieter back roads through winding hills and classic landscape while tailoring our bicycling tours to each rider's fitness level and needs.
Biking Escape trips average around 30 miles per day, with gradual increase in difficulty of ride as we approach the end of our trip together as our travel guests get more conditioned. However, each rider decides their mileage for the day based on their own needs and the terrain ahead, and all of our rides are led by a guide side-by-side on bike as well as another guide offering constant van support if anyone should need a quick repair, a ride, or a shuttle service, and stopping to offer us energy-recharging snacks and refreshment along our route at regular intervals.
Don't forget whenever you feel tired or there's a Tuscan hill that you'd rather not attempt, the van is always there to offer a convenient passage and allows you to continue your ride at your own pace and comfort level. On the other hand, we offer daily “extra loop rides” for those riders who want an extra challenge or are eager to extend their adventure for more hours in the saddle, choosing great routes that extend the day's itinerary and finish with a van pickup or at the rendezvous established for the day's end.
Biking Escape's unique itineraries have you pedal along through small Tuscan villages, past countryside monasteries, amidst rolling hills of olive groves and vineyards, and reward your efforts at the end of the day with the classic Italian celebration of a lovely and abundant meal, shared among friends at one of the many local restaurants we hand-pick to delight your senses and make your bicycling adventure complete.
